Satin coins

    Is the US Mint going to quit making the satin finish coins that have been in the mint sets since 2005?

    I have heard this rumor also, but do not have proof it is true.

    I personally hope it is true. I do not like the satin finish coins in the set; they should be regular business strikes. If collectors want special strikes, that's what proofs are for.

    Sadly, only no one around here can answer that honestly. Only the mint knows.

    I hope the satin continues. I love the finish.
