Santa Lincoln??

    This is an interesting find I found while roll hunting. Did not find anything about it. Anyone seen this before?

    I know the pic is bad but it looks like a pretty clean engraving. Does not look like it was done with a hand. Looks more like the design was stamped in.

    Yup! Counter-stamped. Lots of cents were done like this. Linc smoking a pipe. Kennedy facing Lincoln. Outlines of the 50 states, Etc. No extra value as they are seen as damaged.

    Not necessarily true, but don't expect a huge premium. Some people (including me) do collect these as exonumia.

    I collect the ones I find in roll searches, Kennedy is far and away the most common, followed by Masonic symbols and then the state outlines.
