Sanfransisco mint commemorative?

    I have someone who found a coin about the size of a dollar dated 1874 - 1937, with an S mint on the bottom, on top it says San Fransisco Mint, on the obverse is an eagle, and in front of the eagle is the united states outline with all the states, on top it says treasury department , on bottom it says United States of America. Any help would be great.

    It's a US Mint medal that is currently available from the Mint, or you can purchase them on various online auctions like this one:
