Edit: It is not San Fransisco... It is L.A.

Okay, so I've only tried posting pictures one other time...

I have had this token for a while, since my granpa gave me a bag of old US coins, long with about 300 foreign ones (oh yeah, does anybody know anything about foreign coins here?). I'm guessing it's for a subway or streetcar.
Is this rare? Is it worth money?

If it IS San Francisco, you've got quite an error there ;-)

I believe that your L.A. transit token is id CA450Ja, but I can not be positive because the depth of the milling is one of the diagnostics, which I can not determine from a photo. There are 7 varieties. This token was first issued in Nov. 1946 and was used until 1961. 4,500,000 were struck in 3 orders. The token is made of white metal. My 1996 ref. lists the value at 25 cents.
