San Francisco Mint 1906

    My 1906-S type set:

    Today is the 100th anniversary of the 1906 San Franciscio earthquake and fire.

    As 1906 was a special year in San Francisco, here is a type set of the five coins made at the (old) San Francisco mint in 1906.

    Took me 20 years to find these and I am looking for better specimens of the silver coins.

    Actually that is really a beautiful set. Nice timing also. Wonder why the Mint hasn't come out with a commemorative coin representing that event.
