Ok, Ive done a little research for about 2 weeks now, and heres what Ive came up with: 1. They are faked like crazy 2. starte in 1870's and ended in 1920's 3. This particular saloon ran from 1897- 1905 Thats it.......... I cant find no value, no history other than the date. Can some one give me more info and a value. Ive tried to contact saloontokens.info but to no avail. Im about to pull my hair out! Please someone help me!!!!!!!!!
It,s a cool find for sure! but it look,s like you have Your work cut out for you to find the value plus If it,s real or not!
I had to look up Pratt City... mpcusa ("... to find the value plus If it,s real or not!") I think what rollbama meant when he said, "1. They are faked like crazy / 2. starte in 1870's and ended in 1920's" he was referring to the entire series of Saloon 5-cent tokens. Chances are pretty good that (a) he knows all he can find out without going there and reading the town newspapers in the library; maybe finding a run of old city guides (city directories) maybe at the State Library, and (b) this one is genuine. Here in Michigan, the problem is fake lumber tokens.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Its real!!! My uncle had it in a can of washers and old coins, so when I was going through the H & H building, It surprised me! Also, I was opening a box of old car parts and when I did I found a WWII Grenade! I dropped the box and hightailed it out if there.... When I say he had everything I mean HE HAD EVERYTHING. In a minute i'll post a pic of the Grenade just for kicks. I had the charge taken out and now its sitting on my shelf.
