Not the kind of post i had ever wanted to create but, i have just received the news that my last purchase is not going to show up :(:(

Despite my decision to only purchase from domestic sellers to avoid delays my coin spent 2 months in lockdown and within 24hrs of release had gone AWOL.
Something sounds very fishy, i wonder if any other UK members have had issues.

I might as well post a picture of the coin in case it ever turns up for sale

That's a bummer. I had my first no-show a couple weeks ago. Here in the US though. There was a USPS tracking number created but it never was accepted into the system. The seller said he dropped it off at the post office. He lives maybe 15 miles from me...2 weeks later and nothing. He refunded my money but I still found it odd. At least it was for only the princely sum of $6. Which makes me wonder if he didn't like what it sold for. I am watching to see if he perhaps reposts it for sale.

Sorry to hear that. Although I am confused about the circumstances. Are you in the US or UK and where is the coin coming from? You say the coin spent '2 months in lockdown' - does that mean it was in postal limbo all that time or it took the dealer 2 months to ship? When you say 'released' does that mean from customs? Just curious.

I didnt want to make it a long post @David Atherton, which is why i gave the basics.

    I am in the UK.
Coin purchased from Roma mid April, they decided to suspend posting.
Coin released 12th June and picked up by FE, email received from FE.
    Now comes the odd part.
Sunday 14th i get another email stating delivery by 6pm on the 15th ( monday )
A week goes by and nothing, no updates and no delivery.
I contacted FE today and they said that they are unable to find it so it has been lost somewhere in the system.
They also said that they have no trace of it after the 12th
Hang on, i have an email from FE on the 14th telling me a delivery time !!

At this point i was told that i needed to contact Roma and i did not get an answer to my last question regarding the email on the 14th.

No coin and no answers :banghead:

Don't give up hope yet. It has only been truly missing a short while. Many of us can tell anecdotes about coins dropping off the radar and eventually, out of the blue, being delivered :).

It is difficult though because you don't know when to ask for a refund and that money is out of your budget until resolution :(.

Well, that particular coin is pretty unique, given its shape with bankers mark. I am sure you will recognize it should it turn up later!

I sent my great grandson a book on rocks. It was out there for a long time. We thought it was gone forever. We were thinking of sending another. Then one day I got a note from my granddaughter that the book showed up. Now I have some nice rocks to send him. A lot of hang-ups in shipping these days. It may still come.

I'm worrying about an inbound shipment from France sent on the 23rd of May. Not a cheap one either. I do hope it shows up.

I'm very sorry that this has happened, @tenbobbit, but I wouldn't give up yet if I were you. I would continue to press Fedex with the point that it can't possibly be true that they have no record of your coin after the 12th, given that they emailed you on the 14th with an estimated delivery date.

Sounds fishy to me! Although it's going to take the seller a long time to get rich by defrauding people out of $6 coins, even if he thinks he'll make some money by reselling your coin at a higher price after refunding what you paid.

Here is the coin in question. It isn’t anything beautiful but I liked the Nike reverse. These are seller’s pics obviously since I never received it.
