I came across this sacagawea while looking through rolls. I was wondering what happened to it and if it might be worth anything more than a dollar.
    Thanks

Clogged die, perhaps? I also notice a litte "glob" of extra metal right above the smooth area below the eagle's eye.... maybe a lamination flaw? These are only guesses though; I'm afraid I am not practised enough in identifying errors to tell you with any kind of certainty what it is!

Looks like damage that occured after leaving the mint to me.

But if it was found in a mint roll, why would it show after-mint damage?

Easy - they are not rolled by the mint or at the mint. They are rolled by a private company several states away. The damage may even be the result of the coin going through the rolling machine. It happens all the time.

Ah.... and this is why I told everyone not to take my word on this! :D But seriously, thanks for the info! I am a little bit smarter today now!
