    when did the San Francisco mint stop making coins for circulation?

    @cpm9ball, thanks for the link. I was curious for the answer as well. The timeline only infers certain things, it's not conclusive. I'll need to do some additional checking.

    According to one site I read, the last official circulated coin they produced was the SBA. According to the site, they also produced some Lincoln cents in the early '80's for circulation, but they did not have an "S" mint mark.
