The sans serif "S" mintmark was used on cents, nickels, and dimes in the mid-forties. Does anyone know if it was used on quarters of half dollars. Dr. Wiles' quarter books do not mention them, so I am inclined to think they do not exist on quarters, but what about half dollars? I am wondering whether there is a one-die wonder out there waiting to be discovered. TIA for any insights.
