Congrats to those of you who have made it: wiggam007 deadmunny krispy DorrianRyanE fishaddicit Aggiecollector rlm's cents sketcherpbr dgeorge413 bigjpst This will be the last round. If there's still more than two people remaining, I will just have to ask ya'll to pick a number between 1 and 100. Sorry, but this has to end sometime! Alright smarties, ya'll think your so smart, eh? Well, lets make this a little more challenging, shall we? So whats new in this round is I have either added a letter(s), left out a letter(s), and/or mispelled something(s) in the scramble. All the other previous rules apply, such as more than one word in each portion, etc... oh, and I won't be telling you what category they fall under like before. Round 5 Scramble: 1. balrenucerendend 2. anedtloki 3. llleolleaaabbrrrhdf 4. lkbbdsotaalse 5. emcncchurssreoept 6. iintuaegnoiohs osialtdutth esudcchleiodsufotter, hal 7. kncbeschefeeaast wrrtfdreaheoong 8. kaaaweeerttmh mfyae neeeckiiavlp 9. mrrturhnheyecsaur psuumktrrnitersaa tangusupnutouenerl 10. nnddcdacatuwnsmdokaeese ausdsukdfurnhidtaaatwrnradds Round 5 ends next Wednesday, the 17th. ALL ANSWERS MUST BE SENT THROUGH A PM !!! If someone posts the answer in this thread, I will close the contest and that will be the end. :loud: Haaaaaave fun!
Umm, if you add or remove letters than that can give different variations of words. So then it is more of a guess on words? Or is there some type of sense to it all?
RYAN: How about a little encouragement... What prizes are you offering? I haven't noticed any mention of them in any of the associated threads as to what the contest was FOR. Fun yes, but what is the Grand Prize and the second place prize? I've been wondering for a while now, especially while slogging through Round 4. I'm not sure if Round 5 is worth my continued effort, due in great part to the intentional added/missing letters compounding the difficulty of the scrambles, without knowing whether the prizes warrant such brain-drain. Thanks.
Wow, these look really tough! Are there any rules for how you subtracted or added the letters? For example, did you only subtract or add a letter only once per word or per set of words separated by a space? It just seems like there are too many possible combinations if I can subtract or add any letters I want to and as many as I want to.

Well with 10 people still in the contest it has to get knocked down some how... Although round 4 did it for me I'm impressed you guys got that round right!
Hey guys, - The prizes were mentioned in the very first thread in the very first post. - I added/subtracted a few letters from each set, not each word - I had to make it harder somehow... and this was the only way. They aren't really that hard, once you figure out a portion of the scramble, you have the rest of the sentence.
Well, I was aware of the above as stated from the first post of the first round. I was hoping for something more specific at this point in the contest. Thanks.
Don't really know yet, nothing huge since I'm only 15 but enough to make you happy. I wanted this to be fun. Just something to do on your spare time...
1. Not that I loved Caesar less, but I loved Rome more. 2. Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day. 3. A man should look for what is, and not what he thinks should be. 4. Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love 5. A fence should be horse high, hog tight and bull strong 6. I see dead people 7. Help a man when he is in trouble he will remember you when he is in trouble again 8. A penny saved is a penny earned 9. Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys 10. I have never advocated war except as a means of peace 1. What can travel around the world while staying in a corner? - A stamp 2. How many dimes can you put into an empty piggybank? 0 or 1 would be acceptable 3. What is as big as you are and yet does not weigh anything? - Your shadow 1. Australia 2. Uruguay 3. Barbados 4. Nigeria 5. Iceland 1. German Shepherd 2. Golden retriever 3. Siberian husky 4. Border collie 5. Irish wolf hound
I actually before getting totally frustrated and giving up had all the dog ones and some country's but that was it... The 10 left are a better person then I
Guys, remember, since so many people are giving up, it won't be that hard to get 1st or second, will it? So if you try and just get one word out of the entire thing right, you might just as well get 1st place. HINT: A few of them are common phrases/lines such as the months in the year or the names of the pieces in a chess set, etc...
Don't know if there is anyone still working on this round, so just to be safe, tomorrow afternoon results will be posted.
Surely Wednesday is over by now... so is the contest over as well? Got Winners? Can you please post Round 5 answers. Will there be a Round 6...?
