Sorry if I have exited you with the title, but no, no gold prizes here, sorry!

As many of you know, gold has been going up and up and up quite a bit lately and I know a lot of us are curious what the price will be in the near or far future.

Basically, post here what you think 1 ounce of gold will be worth on January 5st. When that day comes, the person closest to the amount it truly is will receive some silver coins as a prize. :smile

Just a few questions...

1. You say "Jan 5st"...is that Jan 1st or Jan 5th?
2. What measure of price will you use? London Fix AM or Fix PM?
3. If you meant Jan 1st, that's a Friday and a holiday...not sure if the markets will be open that day. Perhaps using the London Fix AM price for Monday, Jan 4th would be better.

In any event, my guess is $1068...thanks for the contest!!
