Hi All, I'm new here. And I'm interesting in Russian Banknotes ( I also collect Russian Coins and I already have a good collection). I wonder where I can find a good catalogue for Russian Banknotes? Online? I need a quick Ref guide to help me start maybe one of you can help me with it. I'm also willing to trade or buy notes if any of you have some to trade. First of all I need to get a grip on the notes in general so I need a good Catalogue (conros maybe) to be my guide for the jumping start that I need right now. Thanks TQ
What types of Russian notes are you interested in? There are literally thousands of different notes from the 1917 Revolution. You should get your hands on Volume I and II of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money to see what is out there. Even an old copy at the library will give you an idea.
welcome to the forum. In my recent travels around the net looking for some good books on world currency. i came across a russian site talking about russian books. Now i have enough trouble with English, so russian is way out of my reach. Because of the way the site was set up, i could tell what the 'title' was, and used online translators to translate what the titles were. Most of the books were about coins. and there were alot of them. I ended up quitting translating after the first half dozen translations, but i would have to assume with such interest in russian coins, there would have to be some publications dedicated to russian currency as well - as long as you can read russian
