RR denarius

    I had the local shop keep this in the safe for me until I could get paid :D A typical Roma/quadriga denarius, but I like it.

    L. Appuleius Saturninus
    AR denarius
    Rome 104 B.C. Helmeted Roma head left bankers mark on check / Saturn in galloping quadriga right, pellet omega below, L.SATVRN in exergue. Cr. 317/3. ?

    Great republic. I like the bankers mark especially.

    Im sure someone would think those fakes were real if it wasnt mentioned.

    Thanks :) The denarius would probably be the most deceptive, the sestertii are a silverish pot metal. I think the Sev alexander was a jewelers peices

    I love RR coins, and yours is no exception. Like Mat, I think the bankers mark is interesting and placed just right.

    Nice Roman Republic Randy! I keep telling myself I've got to get more of these. I like the style so much.

    The quadriga reverse adds to its appeal imo. Well done!

    I think the RR is a great example....I've been bidding and trying to buy a few examples myself...although I've now gotten myself obsessed with trying to get a nice J Caesar and Pompey example listed on Agora...So little time and so many coins LOL
