I see other doubling on the coin the lower leaves and some areas by the arrows. This characteristic is usually MD.
I have been told by several that this one is MD. Thirty years ago Bowers called it an RPD. Today I believe it is MD.
This specimen would require in hand inspection, with these coins it is hard to determine if it is or isn't an RPD. I do believe as others years ago it would of been called an RPD. And that's what makes collecting shield nickels so fun! You can find some of most strangest anomalies on them. Fun series to collect.
