So it seems RR tracking is useless. I've got tracking numbers for packages coming from UAE, Cyprus, and Israel, and none of them give me any information. And it's happened before: I've had tracking numbers that never registered on their site, and then one day the packages just appear in the mailbox. Anyone else experience this? It would seem RR tracking is useless - or the sellers are giving me false numbers. But I've always gotten my packages, so what gives?
I have long pondered this. It seems that native postal services tend to provide tracking up until they leave the jurisdiction. Say Royal stops tracking when it leaves the airport. USPS tracking system is privy to this same info. So in most cases I am able to track the package with the native number through USPS. But...yes, there is a but...the lag is tremendous, for example I will get the notification it is out for delivery 2 days after I received it, again with no update from the time it landed in the US.
Well, I've waited as long as 4 months for coins to arrive from UAE, and I know licensed antiquity dealers have to go through a bunch of paperwork on every export to stay legit, but I sometimes wonder if someone at the NSA is opening all my packages. I don't object to that actually - it's just that not knowing anything for such a length of time makes you wonder if your pricey little coin got lost. I wish the RR tracking worked, that's all.
