    Hello friends!

I picked up an "affordable" 1809 (not 1804--sorry) half-cent a few months ago and threw it in a junk coin drawer. Last night I was going through the drawer and noticed that it is a rotated die error. I measured it, and it is close to 150 degrees off.

The coin is dark, has details that would probably achieve a G-4 grading, and has a puncture mark at 12-oclock that appears to be a failed attempt at putting a hole in it.

My question is, for collectors, does the fact that it is low grade and damaged, keep the coin undesirable? Or would the rotation error make it somewhat desirable?

    Thanks!

    Jeff
