I am new to error and variety searching. Only recently looking for such as to have something else to do while coin roll hunting. I came across this Roosevelt dime. Despite the appearance of having a mohawk I was wondering if this might be a capped die. I doubt it, appears to just be PMD, but was wanting to get more experienced opinions before throwing it in the change jar. Also, below is a memorial penny (1971) that appears off color (aluminum-like). However, I do see some copper color bleeding through making me think it was just coated in something post-mint. Thanks for taking the time.

I'm at a severely deteriorated die and damage on the Roosevelt and environmental issues on the cent. IMHO.

You are quite right on both counts.
The dime is Post Mint Damage. The cent is Plated.
