Roosevelt dime struck through spider or ant on his cheek

    image.jpg Found this while coin hunting you can clearly see 8 legs and a body... Anyone seen anything like this before?

    Maybe you can clearly see 8 legs and a body, but I can't. I only see damage.

    Looks as if it may be a fine example of the impossibly rare 16 legged spider, or perhaps caused by two ants doing headstands!

    Seriously though, I have a feeling you know well that this was not caused by any type of insect strike though. Either that or a bad case of pareidolia.

    I can clearly see the spider you reference. I can also clearly see the crazy web it had right before getting squished. Must have been a fast web spinner! :rolleyes:

    Thats one tough spider. Do you think he survived the tens of tones of pressure from the coining press?

    It was struck through a new species of ant that has an exoskeleton made of steel.
