    Hi everyone,
My name is Tammy, I just joined the forum tonight. I have a 1997 P Roosevelt dime that looks to me like the rim around it is off center or something. I do not know much of anything about coin errors so I thought I would take a photo of it and post it so as to find out if its worth hanging onto or not. Thank you in advance for your help!

Good morning Tammy and welcome to the forums,

Yes that dime is off center but with those kinds of errors premium does not come into place untill it´s 10% off center. I would say yours is about 3-5%

    It´s a nice start :)

Yeah, Siggi is right. Those tiny off center strikes are fairly common. Off center coins will have a small premium around 10% off center, but really start gaining when parts of the lettering or devices are missing.

This is not an off-center strike. It's a minor horizontal misalignment of the obverse (hammer) die. It's not offset enough to be considered an error.
