    What does "P/L" mean?

Perhaps it means "Proof-like" (which means it is a Business Strike coin in uncirculated condition with surfaces that are highly reflective).

In what context was the term used?

I have a morgan marked P/L OBV. I picked it up at a coin club meeting.

    THANKS!

Then, yes, it means Proof-like. Try to read some small print (e.g., a newspaper or business card) in the reflection. See how far away you can move the type and still read it.
