this dime is a rooesevelt dime dated 1995 p it has all copper on one side and very little on the other what would something like this go for.
What you have is a Dime with Environmental Damage. Exposed to the elements. Soil, sand, dirt, water, heat, weather will affect the clad layer of a Dime. Not a Mint error and only worth 10 Cents
This is a true Mint Error - Missing Clad Layer It usually occurs only on one side of a Clad coin From my collection -
I don't think so.. I still see a bit of the Clad. Like I said it's only a Dime with Environmental damage. I metal detect and have found hundreds that look like your when dug up. I also have been collecting Mint Errors for 31 years so I know the difference and you don't have a missing Clad layer.
ok i metal detect to have found over 100,000 coins from the 1800's fyou know of western and eastern treasures we are the ones that got find of the year for the cival war id pin in troy ny plus the ones with the mwa modern woodsman assotication pins
haha no it's not. But I am thinking of sending some of my finds to the magazine. I also have found some interesting items that need to be ID'd. I started a Metal Detecting Club last year based here in NY State. Mostly NYC.
Your dime appears to have suffered from circulation and environmental damage. @paddyman98 is correct in telling you it’s value is $.10. If your coin is missing it’s outer clad layer I should be pretty obvious with coin in hand. The layer under the top layer is copper and will be uniformly copper across the surface that’s been unclad. So it will look as if it is a copper cent, no silver color at all. Just look at paddy’s image of his dime. The clad layer can come off completely or in varying percentages.
Gold Bug 2 small elliptical coil. But I live in a hot zone for both placer and lode gold here in Washington State. Never used it for coins.
