I know it's real because I found it metal detecting on a Roman site, had plenty off this site and more to come I'm sure..I can't believe tho that I got a reply saying there common and worth about 20 to 30 dollars..every Roman coin has different value. Sent from my i9305 quad core on 4g.
Hi Romanus, i would have the Mods move this to the Ancient and World coins, you will get the answer your looking for, i just happen to see this when i logged in. It looks real and pretty good shape, the Mark Anthony coin's can be a bit pricey, i would say you should get between $150.00 to $250 or more for this coin..
I would say Real, XX Legion, with a value at $200 to $300 [~150 to 200 pounds], if not more. I would have this moved to the Ancient and World Coins board.
Thanks guys appreciate those replies..mods would you be able to move to the ancient section pls if that's going to be a better place. Regards Gary Sent from my i9305 quad core on 4g.

It surprises me no one bothers to check eBay recent sales. Same coin sold on eBay for $39. I purchased a Mark Anthony in January for under $30.
They vary, and a lot go much more than what I sold mine for..never seen any Mark Anthony go that cheap myself.you must be lucky. Sent from my i9305 quad core on 4g.
The price of these are very sensitive to legion number and condition. These are pretty common low grade, but yours is in better than average shape. I would not disagree with a $150 ballpark figure. THere are two major reasons they are usually found well worn. One, they were below average purity when issued, so Gresham's law dictated they would circulate longer. Two, Antony was very popular with troops, even after his defeat, so soldiers frequently carried these around with them for decades or longer as good luck charms.
I'd like to see the MA Legionary Denarius that sold recently for $39 on Ebay. My guess is that it's very, very worn and/or unreadable (legion unidentifiable). I collect these when I can afford one in decent shape. You can see all mine in my albums. The most worn of mine cost me $40 plus shipping a few years ago.
