Hi. Is this yet another fake? What's it worth, if anything? I IDd this [RomanRepublic Ti.Claudius.Nero B.C.?]on another website than the seller's, but I'm still suspcious that it might be an artful phoney ... dunno,as usual. Might call a moratorium on purchases until I can determine
    these things on my own.

    Thanks again,
    Dave

You seem to be having a really tough time identifying fakes. Maybe you should stick with reputable dealers until you get a better eye. Try here: www.vcoins.com

looks fake to me, I say this only based on the style compared to others I have seen.

Thanks, guys. And I probably should stick with reputable dealers."If it looks too good to be true, it probably is."

But as I've said before, this forum is a part of my education in ancient coins: I'm just a beginner. Questions and, sometimes, mistakes are an aid to learning.

I apologize, however, if I've been using people on this forum as personal appraisers. Thanks again for your help and advice.
