The latest Coins Weekly and the Eichstätter Kurier report the story. It happened in broad daylight but nobody was looking and the screens of the security cameras at the time, so the thieves got away with it.

This Severus Alexander denarius or aureus was one of the items taken. I wish the authorities had posted more images of the coins that were stolen so the thieves might be caught when they try to sell them.

That's too bad. I'm actually surprised it doesn't happen more frequently at museums with lax security.
