    Hello all,

    I have some interesting and rather cheap coins available for either sale or trade.

    1. GRATIAN AE3 18mm 3g (VF+)
    AV : DN GRATIANVS AVGG AVG, pearl-diademed, draped & cuirassed bust right

    REV : GLORIA NO - VI SAECVLI, emperor standing facing, head left, holding labarum in right hand and resting left hand on shield.

    EXE: TCON Arles mint

    REF: RIC IX Arles 15 xiv(c) rated - C (but actually pretty scarce in VF condition) 367-375AD.

    Scarce type, minted in Arles for Gratian only. "Arelate is alone in giving him the reverse legend... which presented him to the Gauls as the boy of the Messianic prophecy who was to bring back the Golden Age of peace and plenty." Pearce, NC 1948, p. 72.

    AV: DN CONSTAN-TIVS PF AVG pearl diademed head right

    REV: VOT/XX/MV.LT/XXX inside wreath

    EXE: SMANdelta, Antioch mint.

    REF: RIC VIII Antioch 113 C 347-348AD.

    Very nice condition, which is quite scarce for these small module VOTA, centering dot still present on flan.

    3. CONSTANTIUS II AE2 23mm 4.66gr. Centenionalis (VF)
    AV: DN CONSTAN - TIVS PF AVG; pearl diademed draped cuirassed bust right

    REV: FEL TEMP RE - PARATIO; Emperor holding victory on globe, spurning captive at his feet; gamma in left field; * in right field.

    EXE: *TSdelta· Thessalonica mint.

    REF: RIC VIII Thessalonica 178, rarity-S, first group 351-355AD.

    Rare type, only issued in Thessalonica for Constantius II & Gallus.

    4. ANTONINUS PIUS, AR18mm, denarius 3,43gr (VF, toned)
    AV: ANTONINVS AVG PI - VS PP TR P COS III, laureate head right

    REV: OPI AVG; Ops seated left, holding scepter and resting her head on right hand.

    EXE: -

    REF: RIC III 77, R2, 140-143AD.

    Ops depictions on coins are very rare, and this issue might be of great rarity: "I think the OPI AVG type is definitely rare on denarii: only two specimens in Reka Devnia, compared with, for example, 11 spec. of the ITALIA type of the same COS III issue, 12 spec. of MONETA AVG, and 23 spec. of PAX AVG." (Curtis Clay)

    REV: CONCORD · MILIT; emperor togate stg. r., holding short sceptre in l. hand, clasping the hand of Concordia stg. l.

    REF: RIC V-1 391, RIC temp #2520 - uncertain Balkan mint, third officina, phase 2, autumn 272 – autumn 273AD.

    A pretty common issue for Aurelian but w/ a striking bust and wonderful condition. Ex. Numismatik Lanz 2014.
