My father gave me these today, as he knows I am into collecting coins. They are in a package that says: "Authentic Aincient Artifact ROMAN BRONZE COIN Circa 100-400 A.D. Choice Well, here are some pics!
Looks like a couple Constantine era coins ( GLORIA EXERCITVS soldiers and standard, and the other a campgate)
Whoa! LOL! http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Constantine++coin&_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A5846&rt=nc&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=15&_sc=1
Wow. Pretty expensive pieces, but to me, my coins aren't worth alot, as they are in really bad shape. But none-the-less, it is still pretty cool to own something that is that old, and whatnot!
In the condition your's are in, they would probably be worth $10 or less each. In this case, the sentiment is priceless.
I didn't know that! Thank you Randy! Also, I looked at your collection (In your signature thing), and they look awesome!
Nice coins. I have many ancients in worse condition(metal detector finds) but I like to attribute them. I collect them in any condition. Its a start have fun!
To be worth a whole dollar, a coin needs to be identifiable a little more exactly than these which are exactly what Randy said they were. This grade is usually sold to people who do not know more about the subject than that they are old and will later feel they were cheated when they see how much better they can get for the same price from dealers that hope to make you a repeat customer.
