Hi coinfriends, I'm currently visiting Rome (for the second time, the former being during the last millenium, and things have changed a bit) and thought you might be happy to see some pictures of mine. No coin shopping here, that wasn't the purpose of the trip (but I recently bought a few that I will show in a short future) Le pantheon Le forum de Trajan La colonne trajane Le forum d'Auguste La statue d'Auguste La statue équestre de Marc Aurèle sur la place du capitole L'arc de Septime Severe L'arc de Constantin Le Colisée Q
Nice photos. I was there last year and took many similar photos. It was a lot of fun. thanks for sharing your photos.
Best thing is to bore the ones with you by telling all you know about those places. They´ll love it! There is a numismatic shop near Termini (Plus the Gnecchi collection in the Museo Nazionale Romano a few blocks from there -Highly recommended-) and another one near Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
Great pics Q! Thank you for sharing. Coincidentally, today a denarius of Clodius Albinus came in the mail, with ROMAE AETERNAE reverse...
Nice pics, Q! I visited Rome in 2014 and your photos bring back fond memories. A botched iPhone backup made me lose practically all of my own.
Rome is great! Was there last summer. I want to go back. Already saving for the trip. Great pics!! here are some of mine: Trajans column and the Pantheon
While I sure believe that, the (great) photos that you posted suggest otherwise, hehe. Enjoy your stay! Christian
Great photos. BTW here is a great piece on Trajans Column in Nat Geo http://www.nationalgeographic.com/trajan-column/
