Hey- Brand new to this forum. Perhaps you can give me some advice. I received a gift of some rolls of coins 40 years ago. They include:
    1949-S dimes
    1955-D dimes
    1955-S dimes
    1938-P pennies
    1949-D nickels

I don't yet know the actual condition, as I've had them in a vault forever. However, I'm told they are BU rolls. Can you give me some sense of value?

    Thanks.

Howdy shapiro1 - Welcome to the Forum !!

Sorry - but i don't have a Greysheet handy to look up the roll values. But National dealer will be along soon and I'm sure he does ;)

    Welcome to the forum,

Here is the latest greysheet bids for the rolls listed. The greysheet is a dealer wholesale price list. So if you were to offer these rolls to a dealer, this would be about the price you would receive.

Now I will assume that these rolls are uncirculated to start with.

    1949-S Dime $1425.00
    1955-D Dime $26.50
    1955-S Dime $26.50
    1938-P Cent $175.00
    1949-D Nickel $54.00

Now if these are circulated rolls, the dimes will be about five times face depending on silver spot price, the cents would be in the $2-$3 range, and the Jefferson nickels would bring about $4.

Since so much depends on condition, I would recommend that you have a well versed collector or dealer take a look at these coins. Just in case they are uncirculated, do not handle these coins at all. A fingerprint will really kill the value.

    Good luck.

Let us know how you make out with these. 49-s is the only really valuable year in the roosevelt series. I can't say I've ever owned a bu roll of that date. Very nice.

Their all nice rolls. Good luck. Doing more research might give you a bottom line when and if you sell
