$154 in nickels, $124 from a bag, $30 in CWR's... Bag produced a lonely '43-P in the second-to-last handful out of the bag.

The CWR's were a skunk, save for one roll which was 3/4's pre-50's nickels. The account number is on there, so I'm going back to try and get more from that account... but yeah, a VF '37 Buff and a '44-D out of that roll as well.

I'll break the $110k mark for change on the year tomorrow. Pretty amazing considering 4 months ago I was sitting at about $45k.

Are you ever able to work a deal with these people where you can pay them more than the dealer but get some nice rolls of silver for below melt value?

Once in a blue moon... Most go home and do, their own research, I guess. I did buy a roll of dimes for 17x about a month ago. That was nice.

I'd be all over that deal, a roll of dimes for about $85.00. I could not let the ones I collect go for less than $150 a roll, too much work and I just like them too much.

I was having this same convo with sorterx in pms about a month ago. I can't fathom selling my silver for les than $50/oz.

I guess we hold onto silver until it hits $50 or some sort of financial emergency arises. Then when it hits $50 I'll still try and hold onto it with hope it would go up more. Or maybe everyone would sell at $50 make a profit, drive the price down, then re-buy. It would be nice to be able to time the market, I can always dream.

    Ace,
Not cool, I hope the dimes and nics are treating you better. Very discouraging and makes the grind all that more tough. Hang in there bro and take a look at the WLH's you found the other week. That ought to make you feel better.

HOTN - Funny thing is as soon as you and I exchanged messages I went stone cold! I searched 3 boxes of dimes last night for 1 Silver Rosie. 2 Boxes were all 2011's! Ugh.

I'm actually heading out of town tonight at midnight to head down to Hilton Head Island, SC for a weeks vacation. So, I'll be doing some hunting down there. I got a feeling my luck will improve.

Either way, this hobby is very streaky. I had a great 7 day run followed up by a 7 day run that is bone dry!!! Really reminds me of BlackJack at the casino, only here you don't lose money...only time!

    I've got around 3000 pre-60's. Don't really know why I keep 'em. It's whatever.

    Box of dimes; 1 silver.
