Roll of 1959-1964 bu pennies

  1. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg i got this from Ebay part of a lot and I don't know if it's in a old roll or not because I was really tempted to open it. Should I open it? The guy said it was worth $10 I think he is exaggerating

    Theoretically if all the coins are MS and worth 20 cents apiece it's worth $10.
    But the reality is, there is very little market for these modern Lincoln Memorial cents, even in MS condition. It's about 99.99% that it's not an old roll, and was recently compiled. One reason for that are the mixed dates. An old roll of all MS Lincoln cents would be 48 or 49 or 50 of all the same year.
    The coins may be in good shape and may be worth keeping, but you won't see your money back on them for 20 years. Just my opinion. When I find a nice copper Lincoln in good shape I save it, but I know it's not worth anything. I got this one recently metal detecting:
