Went to the bank and got more rolls of pennies. No wheats, but in ten rolls I found:
    A 73 S (in my first roll)
A nice BU 1984 with a weird finish. Probably normal.
    A BU 1987
    A BU 1978
    A BU 1979
And a BU 81 with a nice die crack in the memorial. I find a few of these errors. They are pretty neat.

Also she said a guy came in and turned in two rolls of halves and a roll of sac's. Nothing in the halves but in the sac's I found a nice 2001 P. Not any scratches on it either. Looks like it came right from the mint. I grade it 65 borderline 66. The reverse has a few dings, that is why I keep it from getting a 66 in my mind. But it is very nice. Wasn't a bad day. I only need to find 3 more wheats in order to have a full roll of of whaets that I have pulled form circ. So hopefully next time I'll have that accomplished. Were the 2001 sacs realeased into circ.? Just wanted to know. Thanks for reading.

No, 2001 SAC's were not released in to circulation. Someone must have broken it out of a mint set. 2000P's were the only SAC's released for circulation. All other years and mints go in to a vault somewhere, except the few that are in mint sets and sold to numismatic dealers.

Did you know that the law states that at least 1/3 of all dollar coins produced in a given year must be SAC's! Since they are making 300,000,000 Washington dollars, that's at least 100,000,000 SAC's (plus 1/3 of the next three Pres. dollars) that will be minted and never used. Your tax dollars at work!

Yeah, I've heard and read aboit it. I don't understand it. But that's the government for you. Thanks for the tidbit. I'm going to post pics of it, It looks like a really nice sac. In my mind at least grade 65, might have a shot at a 66. Slight chance on 67, but I don't think it would go that high. Nice find Royall. Thanks Coinlover, they are neat to find. Especially in PA. Probably have better chances in California though to find more S cents. Thanks all for replying.
