ROC 10th Presidential Inauguration Gold Commemorative Coin?

Hi.

Was wondering if anyone has any insight on this commemorative coin from Taiwan. It's a 1 oz 99.99 pure gold coin commemorating the inauguration of the 10th president and vice president of ROC/Taiwan.

I received it years back as a gift and am looking to possibly sell it but want to get an idea of the authenticity/value of this coin first.

Searching the World Coin Catalog comes up with only a silver version of this coin but the catalog also doesn't list the gold version of the coin for the current president/vice president either (and it's available from the Central Mint of China website):

Also not sure what the deal with the crystal display case is. Apparently 500 of these were gifted to dignitaries and that is where this originally came from.
