This is one of my favorite lamination finds. Almost full diameter. Wish it were bright and shiny though.
I think they're cool errors too. Heres a couple that I found. The '45 I found in a bargain bin. I don't remember where i got the '59.
How can you tell that is bad lamination to something like wear and tear from being in circulation? WIth the pictures you provided Jalle, I can see kinda see how one would be able to tell but would like to know if there are other ways that may not be so obvious. Thanks Shrek
Shrek- It can be kind of difficult to tell from photos, especially when the lamination has not actually peeled off. Up close it is much more obvious because you can see the actual fissure in the metal where one layer is beginning to peel away from the other. Almost looks similar to an area of paint that is about to start flaking and peeling away. You can see the ever-so-slight crack and separation just enough that you could get a fingernail or blade underneath it and peel it off.
look at this coin, it's similiar to yours Possibly lamination much like your coin, not as pretty though.
