The coin is a 1964 Proof 5 cents and difficult to photograph. Photo 1 was taken inside the 2x2. The rim on both obverse and reverse appear "split" for want of a better word. Also on the reverse starting halfway through states to the end of america there seems to be doubling, especially the final a of America. Seems to be a lot of proofs with minor problems, makes me wonder if father-in-law collected them because of the anomalies
There are quite a few DDRs for that date in proof finish. You can use the link I provided to look it up. Any of the DDR numbers that start with PR will be the proof attributions. It is hard to see doubling on your coin through the 2x2. http://varietyvista.com/04b JN DD Vol 2/DDRs 1964 (1-33).htm
