Well had Friday off and decided to drive down to Richmond to a coin show. I figured I'd see some new dealers and fresh stock since I never had gone to the Richmond Show.
Show was smaller than I exspected and very slow. About half the dealers are at most of the other shows I have attended.

Here are a few of my finds. Hope tou enjoy the pics and as always comments are welcome.

We had a show here in Portland on Sat. The show was lousy. half the tables were no shows..The fact is, the small shows are dying..It's the same with train shows. I am aslo a train collector and operator.. The internet is killing them, and being an ebayer, I can understand that. I go on ebay and I have 50,000 dealers 18" from me.

You can look here http://www.coinshows.com/ but this does not have all the shows. Type "Coin shows and your state" in Google see what it comes up with. Good Luck!

Also Coin World is a great place to find about coin shows.

Well with Gas as high as it is it's not worth driving to the big show for me. I have decided not to go to the Baltimore show anymore and I won't be going to Richmond again. I usually budget about $100 - $200 when I go to a show but when cost me about $50 to get to a show for gas and parking it's just not worth it and as you said I can sit in front of my computer and have 18,000 dealers at my fingertips weather ebay, teletrade or numberous other coin auctions. That way I'll be getting coins for that $50.00.
