The reverse of this Seleucid coin includes the letter Rho reversed in exergue, as well as the letter Sigma reversed to the right. Some symbols are also new to me. Could you please assist me to totally identify this coin and interpret the Greek reversed lettering as well. Thanks a lot..
7C, i'm not certain of the attribution, but those letters below the headress of isis on the reverse is the date! check out the calander .... http://www.parthia.com/parthia_calendar.htm here's mine. not as nice as yours, but note the EOP on the bottom...that's the date, year 175 SE (138-137BC). your says " O Pi", if there isn't a third letter under the dirt on the right (and i think there is, maybe a P)that would be year 89 SE or 224 BC...if i'm doing it right. if there is a P it would be 189 se or 123 bc.
O and pi should not appear in the same date since both are tens digits (70 and 80). I think you are right about a hidden P (100) and correctly translated the left letter as 9 but did not mention it was a theta missing its center (under dirt or lost to corrosion). I might question (not certain) the E reading on the second coin wondering if it is S=7.
