[IMG]Is that an ear of corn? this is the reverse as it changed in 1860. What are the other agricultural elements?

Yes it's a ear of corn. this was what was called the cereal wreath or Newlin's Wreath of cereals. The item depicted are Corn, Wheat, Oak, and Maple. (The corn and wheat are obvious, the oak leaves are at the lower right and the maple leaves at lower left.)
