A question to those that have done returns to the mint. A couple of weeks ago I returned a silver proof set to the mint. First time I had to return anything. I opted for an exchange. Today I received an email that my account was getting credited for the amount of the proof set. Does this mean that I am not going to receive a replacement set? Sounds to me like all the sets are spoken for. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. I would hate to get a problem set that was returned by someone else. I also read somewhere that the mint refunds return postage. How exactly does that work?
    Thanks, MK

I believe they credit for your return and when they sent another they'll charge you for it again.

You will get your set back, but the process is quirky. After it is all said and done phone them and ask for the money you spent on shipping ($5-$10) and they will send you a check. Be sure to do this it is your money.

Thanks for the replies everyone. wasn't sure how the process worked. As they say learn something new each day. Good to know that I will be getting a proof set back. And I will be calling to get my money back when all said and done. Again thanks.
