Beautiful !! Thank you very much. I was trying to find out , what would be the cost of these coins if they were in the market today ?
depends on the type and the grade for the one shown above in ms63+ easily $1500+ in fine you can possibly even get it for 500
Thanks if I am lucky, I might get it a bit cheaper here in India. Someone has offered me a Samudragupta coin for indian equivalent of 450$ while it is listed at 600 on ebay.
I am relatively new to coin collecting, but I just found out that one good place to get authentic Indian coins is an auction house called www.todyauction.com Take a look at one of their old auctions at http://www.todyauction.com/cat18e.htm#eic Lot no. 133 and 134 ; 133 Victoria Queen, Gold, Mohur, 1841, Divided Legend type, ww incused. Extremely Fine+, Rare. Estimate: Rs. 30,000-35,000 134 Victoria Queen, 10 Rupees, Pattern, 1854. Mint State, Extremely Rare. Estimate: Rs. 90,000-1,00,000 1,00,000 = 2500 dollars They are having an auction next Sunday and I am planning to attend.
