So i bought $1000 worth of halves. they are my favorite to search through!!

I found 1969, 1967 and 1965 kennedy. I also found my first Walking liberty!!

    Also not included in the picture i found 2 1987 P's :)

I also found about 21 2011 kennedy coins. can someone tell me if these are worth holding onto and if so the value one might go for in about ms60 condition.

    thanks!!!

Nice finds! I would hold on to the 2011 JFK's I'm pretty sure that halves after 2001 are for collectors, I hardly ever find newer halves while searching.

Halfs 2002 and newer were not intended for circulation (NIFC). I would hold onto them only if they are in really good shape. You will see them as you roll hunt so you have the ability to be choosy. Just look for the edge that looks brand new.

    Nice haul for 2 boxes.

I just did the same thing (searched 2 boxes, $1K). Came up completely empty of silver, but found 5 2011-p and d and 1 1987-p. I also found 40 brilliant UNC 1993-1996 too. These are truly UNC with only one or two visible bag marks to the naked eye. I picked the best 40 and re-rolled another 100 or so to re-deposit. How rare are BU halves from the 1990's in roll hunting? These were my first two boxes, so it was a bit painful at first, until I remembered to only look at the rims (for silver) and pull out the newest rims for further inspection. Any other tips? Thanks.

The rolls I get from the bank are obviously rolled by machine. The roll is actually a strip of paper wound around the coins a few times, and then the ends are rolled in on themselves to form a very tight roll. Customer wrapped rolls are usually those kind of sleeves you can pick up at a store. You slide the coins in the sleeve and then fold the ends over to close the roll.

This is what your typical customer wrapped rolls look like:

...and this is what my bank wrapped rolls look like:

Some banks use clear plastic shrink wrap wrappers:

Unfortunately, neither of the two banks I have accounts at accept customer wrapped rolls. Everything goes through the coin machine...
