Republic of San-Marino is a very small European country. It has an area 61 sq.km. and a population about 41000. City of San-Marino is a capital of this republic. Republic was founded in 855 b.c. Rulers of the state are two captains-regents - term of their powers makes 6 months. In 1600 first Constitution was been accepted.
Before the introduction into an euro zone in San-Marino appealed Italian currency (lire). Besides, the Roman mint minted republic San Marino coins. They intended, basically, for tourists, but also were used and as lawful means of payment.
