Republic of India Proof Coin Sets - IG Mint Bombay 1974, 1976-77

Hi,

I have several world Proof Coin Sets from the Republic of India I.G. Mint Bombay dated 1974, 1976 and 1977. I was looking to inquire about their value. These appear to be very rare since there doesn't appear to be much information about the sets posted on online.

I don't know anything about coins from India but I heard that not many proof sets were sold as most people in India have more pressing needs than to buy coin sets. I heard the sets from the 1950's and 60's are bringing top dollar, so I'm sure yours are worth something. Someone here will know and I'm sure they will chime in soon.

 

Welcome to the forum. Check ebay sales for the years you have and you'll get an idea what they sell for. Check out this 1950 set, first year means big money.

I wish the pic's were better, but any proof set is a good proof set, enjoy., that goes for mint sets also..
