Louis Golino publishes articles on news.coinupdate.com about the US Mint, but deletes comments of suggested improvements. Is he an objective numismatic reporter or a Government Shill...you decide.
I see that he reposted my comments...I have to give him credit for that...thanks! He asks an interesting question...Does the US Mint Deserve the Criticism It Receives? I'll be interested to read comments of other CT members. :thumb:
Whelp, I find it interesting that the mint can find all the planchets it needs to mint hockey pucks, but finds it difficult to find planchets to mint proof and uncirculated ASE's. Is the guy a shill? He makes his point on a few issues and I don't think he's got an axe to grind.....
Yep...I think the Mint "basically" does a good job, but has a lot of room for improvement. This is a good opportunity to express our unvarnished thoughts...as long as they don't become varnished by the reporter.
It's possible that what happened wasn't what you thought happen. With the software that site uses (Wordpress), if they have it set to moderate comments, you would see the comment when you post it, but if you returned prior to it being approved it would appear to have been deleted. Then, when they approved the comment, it would appear that they resurrected it from deletion. Could be that you're correct, but I try to find a logical explanation before calling "conspiracy" on someone.
