Report of Trends, activity Aug. 1st Knoxville Coin Show.

Traffic was light as always on sunny summer shows - better shows soon in fall and winter.

Dealer to dealer activity was fairly brisk if you had bullion especially generic gold.

The new Lincoln's were all available in quantity with the second issue "P" mint almost down to face or double face by the box. Second issue "D" mint were at four times face for unopened boxes. Log Cabin were also around 4 times face for both "P" and "D" mint but "P"s losing some steam as there is a slug of 1st issue "P" now at some local banks.

The 2009 Clad proof set is in demand but the silver has "sticker shock" with it.

Paper money was selling steady and available.

A few mom and pops were still looking for common modern proofs and mint state singles especially Lincoln's to finish sets for themselves or grand-kids.

Modern mint and proof sets still taking a beating selling at best 20 to 25 back of bid.

All I brought home was a mismatched box of BU Lincoln rolls and 2009 rolls. The mismatched group had several tubed wheat rolls that were terrible but 4 tubes of 1972-P rolls I found 4 pcs. of doubled die obverse die 8 (DDO-008) BU which was exciting.

    That all for now.
