http://cgi.ebay.com/Replica-65-Diff...205|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318#ebayphotohosting I just had to share this.
65 walkers for only $49.95! The silver content alone is worth more than that. I hope I can just find my Ebay password before the auction closes.
WHAAAT? Why would anyone want to buy a bunch of replicas? don't get me wrong, I'm not judging anyone, but for that price, and the $65 shipping, I would save my money to buy the "Real Mc Coy"
I hate replica dealers. If somebody bought one, does anybody here have a way to check the coins to ensure they're exactly 90% silver? What stops them from being 70/30?
Nothing, absolutely nothing. Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if these coins contained "German silver".
I would be extremely amazed if they contained any silver. At least the seller was honest in that he marked the coins as replicas.
A specific gravity test will tell you if they're 90% silver , the coin is first weighed in air and then in water , the difference is the weight of water it displaces ,the weight of the coin in air is then divided bythe water displacement weight , the quotient being the specific gravity .The Specific gravity of a standard US silver coin is 10.3 . rzage
I doubt that there is any silver in the replica coins & I'm sorry if my comment was taken seriously.:smile Fortunately for me, the auction ended before I could remember my Ebay password. Very best regards, collect89
