The Gunpowder Plot (November 5, 1605)

Remember, remember, the Fifth of November,
    Gunpowder, treason and plot.
    I see no reason
    Why gunpowder treason
    Should ever be forgot
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, 'twas his intent
To blow up the King and the Parliament
Three score barrels of powder below
    Poor old England to overthrow
By God's providence he was catch'd
With a dark lantern and burning match
Holler boys, holler boys, let the bells ring
Holler boys, holler boys, God save the King!

James I (1603-1625), Second coinage, Sixpence, 1605, mm. rose, third bust (N2102, S2657)

Obverse: Crowned and draped bust of King James I right with denomination behind within inner beaded circle, legend around: IACOBVS•D:G:MAG:BRIT:FRA:ET•HIB:REX VI (James by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland)

Reverse: Quartered shield of arms below date within inner beaded circle, legend around: QUAE•DEVS•CONIVNXIT•NEMO•SEPARET (What God hath joined let no man put asunder). Mintmark (rose) at 12 o'clock
