2 Coin Star finds today. Top picture is from Walmart this morning. Second picture is from Winn Dixie this afternoon. Picked up a nice British silver coin. Last picture is a close up of the silver Brit. Great timing on that one because I've just recently started building up a collection of foreign silver. That mangled quarter was probably done by the machine itself. I've found in the past that if something goes wrong with a coin it gets chewed up like that and pretty hot to the touch.

 

Reminds me of a joke I made with my Dad last year when he was asking if I found any of the Bessie Coleman quarters yet: "Nope, haven't found the ones you want yet; only the Wong ones."

You sure it's silver? Looks like nickel to me. They were made in both compositions in 1968.

 

If I remember correct... check with a magnet.

Found a dryer coin today. Super far gone, must have been in there a long time. Good example of one.

 

Zero for 2 Coin Stars but .42 cents left in the self serve kiosk change return cup.

 

You have to hit the Laundromat after Walmart. There's always coins there.

 

A quarter and a penny, 2 pennies that I threw away, and two different 5 Euro cent coins from Germany.

 

Save them for the "tip jar".

 

Well I used to be able to turn in mutilated coins that I got from detecting and Coin Star (at the end of the year) but my C.U. won't do it anymore. It's not worth mailing in.

 

Nothing collectible but 3 quarters a dime and 2 pennies in the slot.
