I just purchased a redfield dollar it pretty nice but the holder is cracked and I would like to buy a new holder for it but where
Since the holder is cracked, it's a possibility that the Redfield dollar has been replaced with another coin. Chris
You can't get another "Redfield" holder for it. Probably the best thing you can do if you want it in a good protective holder, and still want to keep the Redfield pedigree is to submit it to one of the TPG's a specifically tell them you want the Redfield Pedigree on the holder. If you do that with NGC you may want to tell them to crack it and put it into a new holder because NGC now certifies Redfield coins and leaves them in the Redfield holders like they doe the GSA dollars. Check with the different services and see what it take to keep the pedigree on the slab. I don't think there is an extra fee as long as there is proof of the pedigree (so leave it in the holder). If you don't care about the pedigree and just want some other holder then I'd go with a Coin World slab shell. They are available from many supply dealers and come in packs of three for about $5 or so.
