    Hi,

I don't know if you know what is that penny... but for me it is incredible. I had to clean it before because it was not possible to see nothing on this coin :-(.

    Why Red color?

Why lot of errors like that?

What do you think about this coin?

    Thanks for your comment.

Its difficult to tell from the picture. I would guess most of it is done by corrosion.

It's not uncommon to have a die chip or 2, but that coin has so many bumps, it has to be corrosion lifting the plating.

    Hi,

I will put this coin in an envelop and take a picture at each year to compare the evolution. There are some little hole where the dot are (not at all)... look like bubbles. It's like metal get out the coin by this little hole. The red win color is impressive on the Queen side. The border is red too and begin on the other side. It is not a metalic color. I hope it is not radioactive :smile

    Many thanks for your answers.

The red color is cuprous oxide which has formed via corrosion. You may safely spend this cent. :D
